Joe Leaver

Joe is the owner & director of Leaver.& Son. Whilst primarily based in Adelaide, he works at a National level, regularly travelling from State to State providing services to our insterstate customers.

With more than 20 years’ in the piano industry, Joe has amassed a wealth of technical knowledge and experience in piano tuning, repair and restoration. Joe’s qualifications include:

• 4-year apprenticeship in Piano Tuning, Repairs and Restoration;

• Qualified Tuner & Technician, through Samick Pianos, Australia;

• Specialist training with Master Piano Artisan, Pianos Balleron, in Bologne, France and 3rd Gen Piano Restorer, Riviera Pianos, in Montreux, Switzerland

Recognised as an expert in his field, Joe has been asked to provide advice on ABC891’s ‘Ask the Experts’ program regarding piano tuning, repairs and restoration and has appeared in a number of feature articles in the Advertiser Newspaper regarding the restoration of several rare pianos.

Joe is a Geelong Cats supporter and plays cricket & basketball in his spare time.
