This amazing instrument is without doubt, the most rare and unique upright reproducing piano that you will ever find!
 
In the past 30 years we have never seen one of these pianos in Australia, in fact, we have only ever seen two advertised throughout the entire world.
 
A fully restored 1906 Steinway & Sons ‘Vertigrand’ Reproducing Player Piano with a fully automated Aeolian mechanism and electric motor installed. This magnificent intstrument was manufactured in the original Steinway & Sons Piano Factory in New York in 1904 and was the most technologically advanced piano of its time. They were an extremely expensive, exotic and luxurious item that only the extremely wealthy could afford to purchase.
 
With only a handful of these pianos still in existence throughout the world, they are now a highly sought after and collectable instrument that will only continue to appreciate in value.
 
This piano was previously owned by a famous and renowned Australian family from Double Bay, Sydney. The piano was fully restored to an extremely high standard in 2009 at a cost of over $20,000.
 
This included a full rebuild and restoration of both the piano and player piano mechanisms as well as a full repolish of the cabinet. The Piano's player mechanism operates perfectly and comes with over 100 pianola Rolls.
 
Besides the player piano side of this instrument, it is a beautiful piano in its own right. With a smooth and responsive touch, and a lovely warm tone, this premium vintage Steinway upright piano would be a beautiful feature and a gorgeous instrument for any home and a keepsake for generations to come!
 
Very simple to operate, to set the piano to self playing mode, simply attach a roll, press play then listen and watch the magic happen!
