What a beautiful and elegant example of the famous Bechstein ‘Model V’ Grand Piano!
 
This piano was previously owned by a private family at a beautiful grand old home in Potts Point, Sydney. The piano was originally purchased brand new by the previous owners great grandmother in Germany and transported to Australia in the 1940s where it has amazingly remained in the same home ever since.
 
This particular model is the famous C.Bechstein ‘Model V’, the largest selling and most popular of the Bechstein grand piano range. We have tuned this piano for the previous owners a few times when we were travelling through Sydney as they knew our business through a relative in Adelaide. The family contacted us as they were downsizing and we absolutely jumped at the chance to purchase the piano to restore and sell this beautiful instrument.
 
The piano has an amazing European bark Rosewood cabinet with the most beautiful graining features. It has classic turned legs and lyre, together with a stunning hand carved filigree music desk.
 
The piano mechanism has been fully restored with new felts, new centre pins throughout as well as a brand new set of Hammers installed. The original ebony and ivory keyboard has also been fully restored and looks beautiful.
 
The piano will come with a brand new concert duet adjustable piano pinch with diamond pleated leather top valued at $990. The piano also comes with its original turn top piano stool, glass castor cups, a lovely old sheet music book owned by the original purchaser and even the original locking key.
