Leaver & Son Pianos offer a select range of beautifully restored and refurbished traditional European, American and Australian-made vintage pianos, as well as refurbished Japanese-made Yamaha and Kawai pianos. We are also authorised dealers for the full range of brand new Alex.Steinbach upright and grand pianos.
We have pianos for sale in our workshop/store in Norwood, South Australia (brother 1, Joe Leaver – 0408 221 272), in Moonah, Tasmania (brother 2, Matt Leaver – 0434 547 349), and Kew, Victoria (our Dad, Alex Leaver – call either Joe or Matt). It’s always best to give us a quick call before coming to view pianos as we are often out of the workshop on the road delivering, tuning and servicing pianos!
In South Australia and Tasmania, we are the exclusive dealer, tuner and service agent for the full range of new Alex.Steinbach upright and grand pianos. These high-quality, German-designed, pianos offer classic styling with traditional wooden piano construction and come with an unrivalled lifetime warranty.
Being a piano restoration workshop at heart, our focus is to help you find a quality piano that you can keep forever, whether it be from us or privately. We offer a 15-year warranty on all refurbished and restored pianos we sell and a range of after-sales tuning and maintenance services, which we perform ourselves. We are one of the last piano businesses in Australia to not outsource our services!
Our price include personal delivery by us, installation and a full check & tune after one month of delivery. Through our nationwide removal contacts, we can easily arrange regional and interstate piano delivery, with personal inspection and fine tune afterward, if required.

1994 Beale Upright Piano
$2,495.00This lovely Beale upright piano was manufactured in Korea in 1994. The piano features a dark walnut finish and a third practise pedal system (centre muting pedal that locks down so that the piano can be played at a lower volume at night-time etc). The cabinet, internal action mechanism and keyboard are all in excellent condition and the piano has been fully serviced, regulated and tuned to A440 concert pitch at our Norwood piano workshop. Alex.Steinbach Cottage Piano
$2,995.00This 1992 Alex.Steinbach ‘Cottage’ style piano is classic and quite rare. It has a traditional full iron frame, is overstrung with underdamper playing action. Made in Korea to a German design, it features a lovely simple, yet classic walnut cabinet and comes with a matching satin walnut piano bench with lift-up lid. The piano is in excellent condition inside and out and the playing mechanism has had very little wear. Kawai BL71 Concert Upright Piano
